Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center opened its doors in 1996 and celebrated 20 years of service to the community on April 21, 2016.
The facility is located in Hilo, near the renowned Rainbow Falls on Hawaii’s Big Island.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Hale Anuenue hosted an open house and facility tours featuring its newly refurbished rehabilitation center, including a gym and kitchen. Guests got to see demonstrations of some of the newly acquired high-tech equipment, such as the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill®.
Over the years, Hale Anuenue has completed numerous renovations and improvements. The courtyard now offers tabletop gardening, a putting green, a gazebo, a water fountain and a memory walkway that enhances the recreational and activities areas.
During the anniversary celebration, attendees enjoyed live entertainment and refreshments in the foyer near the tranquil waterfall and koi pond. The facility welcomed approximately 100 invited guests.
One esteemed guest commented: “It feels like this is your grand opening. The facility looks brand new!”
